3 Powerful Questions You Should Ask Yourself Every Three Months

Life questions
You need the right questions to get your desired result
“An unexamined life is not worth living”- Socrates

In this post I am going to reveal to you three powerful questions you should and must ask yourself every three months if you really want a better life. One thing I have observed is that people generally desire good things and good experiences. Nobody wishes to be poor, fat, broke and frustrated, but people are victims of these circumstances anyway.
The truth is that life does not respond to your wishes, life responds only to your actions. Wallace Wattle, the author of the science of getting rich, wrote in his book that “by thought the things you want are given to you, and by action you receive them.”

To really get the things you want, you must learn to ask yourself deep questions that will awake the sleeping giant within you and cause you to chase your dream ruthlessly. The life questions I present to you in this post have served as a source of motivation to me in time past and now. I hope it will serve the same purpose for you.

1. Where am I coming from? : In life everyone has a past or a background. It is the desire of everyone that his today should be better than his yesterday, and that his tomorrow should be better than today. If you want your tomorrow to be better than your yesterday and today, you must consistently remind yourself of where you are coming from. How has your past been? Will you be happy if things keep being the way they have been in your past?

One of the ways to cause rapid transformation in your life is to keep reminding yourself of where you are coming from. Asking this question, with deep meditation will give you a clear picture of your past, and will help you to have a clear understanding of the things you want and the things you don't want.

The awareness of where you are coming from can also put you in a state of disgust or dissatisfaction, an emotion which is needed to define a new direction for your life, and work to realize the kind of life you truly desire. Failure to ask yourself this question will make you live your life like an individual who is only existing, but not living.

2. Where am I going? : The first question always leads to the second, where am I going? Having known where you are coming from, another deep life question you should ask yourself is where am I going? This is one of the most important questions you should ask yourself at least once every three months. Napoleon Hill, the author of Success Principles said, “Definiteness of purpose is the foundation of all achievement.” Nothing happens by chance. What you see is what you get. In life, you either create your future by defining the transformation you want and work hard to make them be or allow life to throw anything at you. The latter is always unpleasant.

If you must be successful in life, you must be able to dream. By dream, I mean you must be able to look far into the future and decide the kind of outcome you desire, and then put in the necessary efforts that are needed to create your desired outcome. Asking yourself about where you are going will always give you the feeling that where you are now, no matter how pleasant it seems is not your resting place. This feeling will propel you to push beyond your comfort zone and chase your dream ruthlessly. Failure to ask yourself this question at least  once every three months can give you the illusion of feeling arrived, even when you still have a long way to go.

3. How will I get there? : It is not enough to know where you are going or define the kind of outcome you want in the future. You must also make every effort to ensure you know how to get there. There are many people who know exactly what they want, but how to get it is always their problem.

The truth is that it is possible to know how to get to your destination. In this age of the internet, there is virtually no question you can’t find answer to.There is 90% probability that thousands if not millions of people have achieved what you are trying to achieve. You don’t need to invent the wheel; all you have to do is gain insight from these achievers regarding how they arrive at where they are now; a place you desire to be. You can achieve this by researching their biography and if possible read their books. You can also seek professional guidance if need be to get accurate information or knowledge on how to achieve your desired result.

In conclusion, we might have different dreams, but we all have three things in common, a yesterday (past), a today (now) and a tomorrow (future). Irrespective of the variation in our dreams, it is essential that we consistently ask ourselves these three powerful questions at least once every three months so as to remain conscious of our progress in our journey here on earth. My desire for you and me is that we both get to the top.
